Veo-3.1-generate-preview is the dedicated prototyping model within the Google Veo 3.1 ecosystem. It is engineered to bridge the gap between creative ideation and high-fidelity production. Unlike the "Fast" model which prioritizes speed for social media content, the "Preview" model is optimized for checking spatial layout, character consistency, and synchronized audio placeholders. It supports 4K upscaling paths, meaning a creative lead can approve a low-res "preview" shot and then use the same Seed and Operation ID to trigger a high-fidelity render in the Standard/Ultra models. It natively integrates Google's latest multimodal understanding, ensuring that generated audio (dialogue and SFX) aligns perfectly with the previewed visual motion.
